probably a stupid question but if a frame has a 27.2 seat post what size seat clamp do i need? :?

Depends on the frame.
Will be on the old one if you have it, or on the front mech band
If you have neither measure the external seat tube diameter.

dont have an old one because its a new frame and im not sure whether it comes with one, pics show it doesnt so i may need to order one.0
