I found a giant anthem x frame with rp23 for 690.00 2009

They any good, does anyone own one?

Had my heart set on a rocky mountain frame, but the colour I want is almost impossbile to find, the canadian red and white. and for less than 700.00

fantastic. I use mine for both commuting and aggressive xc / play. handles everything fine, its super fast and super fun to ride on. Light as anything too, i get on well with giant bikes tho so im a bit of a fanboy but it beats my old marin hands down.

The frames all look alike on the anthems and trances, so if I buy a x3 is that the same as the x

i believe all the frames are the same materials.
I have a 100mm fork on mine, but ive heard some people pop a 120 on there, if your AM you may want to do this. I find it fine with a 100mm fork, so i havent looked into weather it will void warent's ect. Maybe a Reba would do nicely, could adjust between the 100,120. unless im confusing my forks.

if they are the same frame, then why not buy a full bike for like 900 on the x5 or something then sell the bits?

Just reallt need a frame asap, and dont want to rush into it.

I think ive misunderstood your question, the trace frame is a 5" travel frame, whereas the anthem is a 4". there different frames.

A few people on here bought the anthem X3 and sold the bits, depends on what prices you cant find ect. to see whats the best deal i guess.
