Organised bike theft Newport Pagnell / Milton Keynes area

I Live in Newport Pagnell and had my bike stolen last sunday eve. In my investgations i have found out that in the last week alone nearly 25 bikes in the medium to high value range have been stolen, in some cases the thefts have taken place in the town centre during the day in full view to everyone in the high street! the bikes are then ridden into the back streets and vanish. Newport isnt a very big town so where are these bikes?
i chased 2 youths up St Johns street then down Silver street last sunday at 2100hrs they also stole a bike from outside jardines chemist using huge bolt croppers all done by the time this person ran from the till to the door these blighters were gone!
I dont know quite how widespread this is in the area, but with woburn not far away this could be the jackpot for em so please people take extra care if visiting woburn jumps.
