  • You only love twice

    The first, the last.
I may be a minority of one but that doesn't prevent me from being right.

Great stamina, there. You might want to consider a change of position some time though. Make it a Christmas to remember.

This thread has caused me to realize that I am more mundane than profound. Is that
    profound or only mundane?????
  • Vélo is actually an anagram of lové which means ''curled up.'' So if you wake up to find yourself all lové it might mean you've woken up hugging your bike. Oh well, at least you got your leg over

You just made my night. :D

I now have a mental image akin to those "Well, I bought a lovely record this week...." skits on Harry Hill's Channel 4 show, involving Russ Abbott covering Love Will Tear Us Apart.

  • Inability to accept the mystic experience is more than an intellectual handicap. Lack of awareness of the basic unity of organism and environment is a serious and dangerous hallucination. For in a civilization equipped with immense technological power, the sense of alienation between man and nature leads to the use of technology in a hostile spirit---to the "conquest" of nature instead of intelligent co-operation with nature. I think that's why I don't listen to music when I cycle: I like to hear the birds. But Mr Watts might be talking about a more abstract, idealised conception of nature so I can't be entirely sure.
