That everything costs about £100?!

I am sure that major corporations are now only billing to the nearest £100......everything today has cost:

Boiler service £100, Gas and Electric £100 each, Car service £100 service, £100 parts. Need 2 x new tyre £100 (quote)

WTF?!?! Is it me?!?!

Don't know what you are talking about. My MOT cost me £36 and fixing the hand brake to get it through cost me £64. Neither of those are anywhere near.

In a similar vein, anything that's paid by a monthly subscription seems to be about £30-£40... I'm sure some market research was done years back that suggested people were happy to pay the magic figure of £30 per month for any old service and ever since then companies have just scaled their product to meet that price point.
  • Always Tyred: I note that the two added up to £100. Is this meant?

FCN 3 or 4 on road depending on clothing
FCN 8 off road because I'm too old to go racing around.
