Anodising

I have a rear hub that I am considering having anodised. Has anyone tried this before who can tell me if it worked ok? Does anyone know any companies that might take on such a small job? Cheers.

what colour?
You'll need to take out all the bearings and moving parts, and they'll need to protect the internal faces ideally, and any parts that do not want anodising like any ratchets.
Really not worth the hassle. Powdercoating will be a lot cheaper and easier.0 -

the same precautions would be needed for powdercoating0 -
Yeh, it's got to be purple, matching it up to a Halo rim. Powdercoating will be too thick I think.0

but for powdercoating you can mask much easier i think. whereas for anodizing i think it's a bit more involved.
Buy the purple halo hubs and sell the old ones?0 -
