quad viper downhill rims

hey guys, my friend gave me some rims the other day and i was wondering if you could find anything out about them?
they are quad viper downhill rims i've googled and been on other forums and nothing has come up. Any replies i would be grateful.

no just black all it sais on the rim is quad viper downhill.

i'v got them heavy as fcuk. very though. no problems since buyin my bike which had them on in 2006. my bike was second hand so about 5 or 6 years without problems. suvirved many jumps and drops

Ive had pair them wheels and yeah heavy but i thought they were strong and not bad at all.

thats good to know then,the bloke at the lbs said they were soft as so i didn't risk it. just wondering are they stronger than the ones that come as stock to the carrera banshee? don't know what these rims are. guess you guys get some more shocking pictures from me. also if anybody knows how much the rims are that would be usefull coz the rear wheel has an extreme buckle and i just wianted to know if it was even worth paying to get it repaired. lbs said he'd do it for £30 is it worth that or? thats including spoke replacement.[/code]

i once saw the pair on ebay, buy it now at £25 so no it's not worth it mate

They look like a rebadged generic rim like the triple v and deep sections that appeared a few years back.

A true should cost a tenner. A rebuild £25 plus parts.

If your wheel is borked, cheaper probably to get a new wheel.

ok then it's only the rear wheel, the mechanic in the shop got it a little better but it is still pretty bad that was on my last bike and then the hub went to. the front is fine though do you think the quad is stronger than the ddm or whatever it is?
