Inappropriate metal and punk cover versions...

I'm putting together a CD for a mate, but I've run out of inappropriate metal and punk cover versions... Anyone got any suggestions? Got to be studio versions, and reasonably easy to get hold of, but at the same time nothing too obvious, ie no Faith No More doing Easy.
So far I've got:
Machine Head: Message in a Bottle (the Police)
Sepultura Bullet the Blue Sky (U2)
China Drum- Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush?)
The Wildhearts- Cheers (theme from the TV show)
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes- Nothing Compares 2 U (Sinead O'Connor)
New Found Glory- My Heart Will Go On (Celine Dion)
Fear Factory- I Will Follow (U2 again) though tbh this is terrible.
Hell is for Heroes- Boys Don't Cry (the Cure)
Hblocx- the Power
My Chemical Romance- Desolation Row (Bob Dylan)
Nine Inch Nails- Physical (Adam and the Ants)
Symposium- Hard Days Night (the Beatles)
Therapy- Gimme Gimme Gimme (Abba)
Someone's bound to suggest Atreyu doing You Give Love a Bad Name. It's been ommitted from this CD for an obvious reason
Same for Youmeatsix doing Poker Face. Not everything bad is funny, sometimes it's just bad.
But, some of these ones are also not very good. So, what else?

When I was at college one of my mates was in a punk band who did a cover of "pure and Simple" by Hear Say (the pop idol group).
It was remarkably good actually.0 -
Nicklouse gets it! Though, perhaps a bit more punk or metalUncompromising extremist0

I think I may be coming at this from the wrong direction.

that's awesome
going back a bit, the Mary Chain used to do some quite grungy covers of the standards, eg My Girl

One of the most innapropriate things I've seen recently was on telly on Saturday. Flicking through channels and found a couple gyrating on Strictly Come Dancing to Ever fallen in Love by the Buzzcocks. Just wrong :roll:Vaaru Titanium Sram Red eTap

Look for a torrent online called 'Awesome Covers' (I know, sounds like it's been done by a 4 year old)
Download that, it's got about 200 metal/punk covers.. a few versions of Zombie by the cranberries, tears for fears done by Disturbed, Holy Diver by Killswitch Engage, etc etc
Another cover, although not metal/punk, it Get Up, Stand Up (Marley), done by a NZ band called Salmonella Dub.. great track.0 -
As mentioned, best one without a doubt would be Turisas’ version of ‘Rasputin’. Can’t really argue with a battle metal version of Boney M. Also…
Pop -> Metal
Kill II This: Two Tribes (Orginally Frankie Goes to Hollywood)
Fear Factory: Cars (Originally Gary Numan)
Children of Bodom: Baby Hit Me One More Time (Orginally Britney Spears)
Nevermore: The Sound of Silence (Originally by Simon & Garfunkel)
Megadeth: These Boots Are Made for Walking (Orginally by Nancy Sinatra)
KMFDM: These Boots Are Made for Walking (see above!)
Rammstein: Stripped (Originally by Depeche Mode? I think?)
Within Temptation: Running Up that Hill (Orginally by Kate Bush)
Metal -> Pop
Tori Amos: Raining Blood (Originally by Slayer)
Celine Dion: You Shook Me All Night Long (Originally by AC/DC)
Avril Lavigne: Fuel (Originally by Metallica)
Not sure what you’d class Tarja Turnrurururuen (bird from Nightwish) covering Alice Cooper’s ‘Poison’ and Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ as. Definitely inappropriate though! Oooh, and anything by Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine!0 -

Lots of good stuff, thanks!
(I'd ruled out Limp Bizkit- Faith, Goldfinger with 99 Red Balloons, and Alien Ant Farm- Smooth Criminal as they're a bit too well known... Partly I'm going for the "WTF? OH!" effect hereUncompromising extremist0
