...of the little firework display I get when the rain kicks off my front tyre through my headlamp.

...of the pleasure I get each morning whizzing past noisy scooter man on a long descent and keeping ahead of him for a good way on the flat too (on my fat boy hybrid)

...I unclipped, stuck my legs straight out and went through the long shallow puddle like I was 6 years old again this morning

...the gas board have closed a couple of miles of my route home to cars - cycling in perfect silence and blissful solitude, apart from the odd rabbit and frog.

....I'm getting back up the long descent quicker and further away from the granny gears all the time

...it is nearly November and still I'm nice and toasty riding in my shorts and t shirt.

....by the time I've got to work I'm wide awake and ready to rock without caffeine and by the time I've got home even the worst day has been sorted out put away.

...they just are :lol::lol:

    ...... beating the number 10 bus from close to my house to the bottom of Maryhill Road

    ...... beating cars back up Maryhill Road, on way home when the traffic is heavy.

    ...... Poottling along the Clyde on a lovely evening, watching the sun going down, and getting the small passenger ferry across the river with fantastic vista's in both directions

    ...... arriving home sweating, out of breath, but with a cheesy grin and a great sense of achievement

    ....... when leaving the office, getting cycling gear together, and heading for the bike, as others head for bus/train/car, and the great fun it is commuting on it

    ....... seeing other cyclists, and getting that feeing of "no, I am not racing" only for my legs to start spinning, eyes to look for gaps in traffic, fingers to tighten on the bars, gears suddeny shift for optimum performance - sh1t! here we go again!!
