as i write this i am still in rochdale inf recovering after a operation been told i cant work for at least 6 weks and cant ride my bike for at least 8 so what can i do to pass the time its going to be bloody xmas before i get back on a bike :x
if i had my time again would i take the time to make the right choices

naa thats no fun

  • Service your bike buy new bits for it make it amazing so when you get back on it you willl love it even more, or start building a custom bike or something

  • Had a similar situation recently, having to rest up for 6 weeks after an op.

    I spent a lot of time on the web looking at new bikes. Ended up buying one, didn't like it when it got here so sold it and bought a different one! All the research involved filled up a lot of my time, which helped with the boredom.

    After that I spent most of my time researching trails I hadn't ridden before and planning trips for when I was able to ride again. It helped the time go a bit quicker, but it was very frustrating being stuck at home when all I wanted to do was get out and ride - especially having a new bike sat there unridden!

    It's even more frustrating that a month after being able to get back out on the bike I've just broken my collar bone so I'm unlikely to be riding again this year :( I don't think I'll be able to convince the wife I need another new bike so I guess I'm back to trail research and trip planning.
