Genesis core 00 or Kona cinder cone ?

Hi all,
Calling on the knowledge of you trusty people, my mate is torn between a core 00 at £400 or the cinder cone at £500 quid, obviously the spec is slightly higher on the kona, but i was wondering what you people think, is the kona worth the extra money ? is the suntour fork on the genesis better than the dart 3 on the kona etc etc ?? Any help appreciated as he is looking to buy one tomorrow......

i just bought the core 00 a few weeks ago.
i love it, feels light and nimble, find the brakes work very well, its fast enough when i want it to be, good at climbing.
The fork isn't too bad, i haven't really pushed the bike too much yet, but the fork is pretty soft and i did find it bottoming out once or twice. And i am about 10 stone, my brother had a go on the bike who is quite a bit bigger than me, and it is way too soft for him, bottoms out a lot. so if your friend is a big guy, he might have issues with the fork.
other than that i think it is a great bike
