Hi, I've just bought a set of Bontrager Racelite wheels & they appear to be in good condition. They came with a pair of Spesh Adrenaline Tyres. I've taken them out for a spin but the tyres have a bulge on the sidewall & it is not running true. It is so bad it makes the wheel feel buckled....which it isn't.

Is there any way to true a tyre?

I've ran it with high pressure & low pressure but it's no better.

Try refitting it, inflating slowly and making sure it is seated evenly.
  • Thanks it is seated correctly, the fault is in the actual tyre....it is physically incorrect. When I look at the front tye as it rotates I can see on the tread a section which is not round.

Then it is faulty and meeds replacing.
  • I thought that might be the case. I bought them from eBay...I think I'll be going back for a discount then put some tubeless on.

  • I have taken the tyres off, but cannot get any of my Conti Gravity on?!!?

Doing a quick search on the web it seems like this is a problem with the Bonty Racelite wheels. Having a bit of mare with this, wheels are great but my Hope Brakes needed moving + the cassette issues now the Tyre problem these bargain wheels are looking expensive.

Any ideas how to stretch a tyre?
