Hi
I am building my own bike and need a front disc brake. I have found an Avid Juicy 5 disc brake that seems pretty good and suits my needs (i think)
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Avid_ ... 360046088/
I need it to go on a Manitou MARS 1 front fork.
Is this the complete kit that i need -i.e. brake lever, rotor, brake unit??
Are Juicy 5's any good?
Thanks

Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.

no you will also need a post to post 203mm adaptor.
But 203mm is too big for that fork."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Is 185mm ok as there is another for sale which advertises a 185mm rotor AVid Juicy 5 disc brake? see link

yeah 203mm is really excessive for anything other than downhill, 185mm is good for most things, and possibly overkill in some situations. Either way, the juicy 5 is a very good brake and i would highly reccommend it. And yeah i think all manitou forks are post mount so you'll either need it to come with a post mount adaptor or buy one, they're only about £10.0
