Does anyone know if you can get a shim to allow me to fit non-oversize (25.4mm) handlebars onto an oversize stem? And if so where stocks them? Also, are they safe to use? I presume they hold the bars fine and there's no slipping, anyone got any experience using a shim to run 25.4 bars in a 31.8 stem?
Thanks

Easier just to get another stem that is the right size.

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford?
