Who's put Crud Roadracers on a Ribble Sportive?

I've read one or two posts by people who'd had trouble with them on the Ribble. I wanted to know if they'd managed to work around the problems and get them running smoothly. Also, has anyone got a picture of the Sportive with the Cruds?
Cheers,
Matthew

Might as well bump this again. I actually now have cruds on my fixed but like an idiot I didn't offer them up to the Sportive before fitting them.
Anyone?

The problems some have had may have been dependant on the tyre widths they were running. If you can fit a 4mm hex key in the gap between your tyre & brakes, you should be okay. Apparently.

Was wondering the answer to this question as well since i had seen a few people saying they couldn't get them to fit on the Ribble Sportive.
I bought them few days ago and just spent an hour or so fiddling about with them.
The rear one goes on ok and no rubbing, but I couldn't put the additional piece on after the seatpost as the top of the screw always hitting the tyre, no way of getting it away from it as the clearance from the underside of the frame and guard is nothing.
Also with the cable tie, had to make sure it was tilted so that the top of the tie was pointing towards the back of the back, so that the part that goes through the guard will stay right up beside the frame. Any other way the cable tie sat it made noise, not a massive issue, but no noise when its like the way i described.
The front seems to have even less clearance on the Ribble, just could not get it to stop rubbing, so i took hacksaw to just after the cable tie point, so the guard now ends just at the brakes. Again that means a noise-free mudguard0 -
Sorry I didn't spot this posting earlier, as I have indeed attempted to fit the cruds to my sportive.
Hours of 'effing and blinding' later i got to a point where I could live with them, but only having hacksawed off end of the rear guard nearer the seat tube - I just could not get it to seat properly at full length. The front went on ok, but squeeked a lot and bugged me.
After reading a couple of postings mentioning damage to carbon frames from these guards, I decided to remove them - they will be appearing on ebay soon!
To be fair, when they were fitted they did a fab job of keeping the muck at bay, but my patience ran out. with patience and fetling though, you could indeed get them to fit a Ribble Sportive.0 -
Thanks for the replies. I never did get around to trying the Cruds on my Sportive. They're working well on my fixed although I've had two bolt losing incidents which is kind of annoying - they seem to unscrew no matter how tight you make them so I'd advise checking them every ride.
Am now wondering if I need a winter bike. Or I could man up and ride the fixed on club runs.
