This is the Chris Ball that was in the 2000 Great Britain pursuit squad in 2000.
Super fast guy, after the talk he may even ride the course. :shock:0 -
Due to the Royal Mail Strike On-line entry is available

Rupert, got my form today, thinking of doing the day & the 65 miler, but I was only a poor bronze in August on the Rumble Challenge (though I did get up all the hills :-) ), just worried I might not be able to keep up !
What happens also if the weather is too extreme for the event to take place ?My knees hurt !0 -
Well the course on the 65 mile is not extreme so if you can get around the Rumble you will get around the 65 mile course.
If weather is really bad ie snow then we will change the date, or offer an alternative ride.
As for not keeping up with others, the route will be marked all the way around so you won't get lost
Plus there will be a broom wagon and mechanics on call.
We rode the course the other weekend and we did it (gourp of 8 ) in 4hours.
It really is a lovely route and will be fantastic in bigger groups.
here it is

But Saying all of that the talks will be great too and personally I can't wait to see the bio bike demonstrated. The talks at the very least will give food for thought on training issues and there will be plenty of time for riders to ask questions.
By the way if you live close to Burgess Hill we will be riding this route again on October 31st Saturday starting from Ditchling at 9am see ON THE RIVET for details

Thanks, will go for it then !
Not sure if I can make the ride on 31st October but I'll sign up for the training day.My knees hurt !0 -
Don't forget there is a early bird price for the training day if you get your entry in before the 5th November.

Is SRS events a not-for-profit organisation? If you are making money out of this, I'm not sure this forum is an appropriate way to run your marketing campaign.0

Thanks Alan,
We are just trying to get the message out to as many people as possible, I am sure people who read this forum would want to know about the event.
We are raising funds for the Brighton Heart Charity and as an organisation we are losing money organising these events. But we love cycling so we don't mind.Yours in Sport The SRS Events Team http://twitter.com/srsevents http://www.srs-events.cc http://ontherivet.ning.com0 -
I rode the Burgess Hill Rumble 09 which was really well organised, nice to see it receiving media coverage this week in Cycling Weekly. Thanks for the info Rupert, i would have missed this upcoming event if it was not for this forum. I will be entering today and looking forward to the talks and ride.
