What ground conditions where you riding through?
I know the sidewalls are as thin as a johnny on the evo carcass.
A friend of mine had a slow puncture. He had used fairy liquid to seat the tyre bead on the rims properly when puttin them on. Anyway it was a bit damp on a ride we did and the sidewalls on his ralphs started foaming through the sidewall itself. It had tiny little splits on the sidewall. It was his second ride on the tyres!0 -

talc on the inside of the tube, stops it sticking to itself when they make it.0

I don't think it is talc, actually. I'm sure I read it's ground up fishbones. Seriously.0

Rim brakes perchance?
They can over-heat the rims and by extension your tubes such that they blow out with a force that can rip your wheel to bits. See most infamous example below:

talc or fishbones dont go BOOM. but didnt they find white powdery stuff in the hunt for wmd in iraq which was an explosive? Maybe Schwalbe have a budding chemist doing a work placement for them who has a dark side? Mwaaahahahahahafly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0
