I have an old frame that was my dads and has been stripped down and left in the garage for however many years. it was probably made in the 70s. would need new wheels aswell.
Basically i want to resurect it, to use as a commuter for university.
Is there anywhere i could source parts from other than ebay, to get a groupset that would work on this frame. I know i may be vague here, but if you ask me questions ill do my best to answer to get measurements of dropouts etc.
Cheers for any direction with this.
Matt.

You could turn that into a single speed for very little money. Or you could buy a whole Sora/Tiagra groupset and find that the rear stays are only 120mm and you can't get the gears to work, cos they won't fit. Then when you do the sensible thing and go singlespeed, you'll find it needs no maintenence, and is a lot of fun.

I'm not going for cheap stuff, you can do this for a lot less...Go on, you know you want to.jedster wrote:Just off to contemplate my own mortality and inevitable descent into decrepedness.
