Does anyone have any knowledge of this? I read somewhere that the list of teams doesn't contain Sky (nor Casse d'Epagne, Saxo Bank and Astana of course). When's the deadline and is it looking likely?

Simple answer is YES - SKY already have been awarded a ProTour licence, but due to them not filing the correct paperwork to date by a certain deadline, it isn't finalized. However, it;s a minor detail and they have the next month to rectify it.

There is no doubt whatsoever that they have a licence and will be a ProTour team next year.
  • So if what I read in the papers is true, does that mean they're guaranteed a place in the Tour against Lance and Alberto's new team, Tandy Racing?

I thought it was going to be Contador for "Commodore 64 Racing"
