hi guys
winstanley bikes are doing the 2007 fcr c hybrid for 950, saving 30% or so. how would this compare to the latest 2010 giant rapid range. I only want to spend approx £1000 on the cycletowork scheme, so am i best off going for the old model or just getting the new rapid 1.
Id rather have the 1750 one, but thats far too much! the old one is carbon, but apart from that I know nothing about bikes. help please!
is the 2007 one similar to the top of the range 1750 one??

Don't buy a hybrid would be the general concencus i think. They do not offer the best of both worlds, in fact they offer the worst of both worlds. With a drop bar bike you will have more hand positions and much more suitable for road use. My workmate has a Specialized Sirrus which he commutes on along a cycle path and is constantly riddled with punctures to the point he has given up on it and is back to using his Carrera Subway. This may not be what you want to here but from what i've read on here and from my colleagues experiences this would be the recommendation.winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg
