Hi just after some opinions on what bike i should get?
I currently have a GT avalanche 2.0 which is ok but im thinking of changing it and spending a bit more for a bike as i dont see that upgrading the gt is worth the money.
I was looking at a Specialized Rockhopper. Is this a good choice for a starting point on which i could upgrade at a later point? has anyone got any other ideas of bikes around the same kind of price that would be a good starting point?
thanks for the help

It is not that much of an upgrade over what you have. What sort of budget are we talking?
Also what year GT? It may be wiser to upgrade it.0 -
its a 2008 gt and its a little bit big for me as well but im probably able too spend upto 750 maybe a little more0

For XC and trail riding, have a look at the Boardman Team at Halfords.
The Rockhopper Expert is worth a shout too.0 -
if you budget can stretch to it, and you like specalized, how about an entry level stumpjumper HT, the frame is lighter then the rockhopper and you'll get a little better kit.
