tektro to ultegra brake upgrade worth it?

looking to upgrade, mainly to complete groupset but will it improve braking at all?

    you will see a big improvement just by upgrading to a decent set of pads. Tektro's own pads are not that good in my experience....

  • I've got Tektro's and swapped the pads. That made a small difference.

    I've also ridden bikes with 105 and ultegra brakes and they stop 100% better. If you can afford the upgrade, do it.

    already done the koolstop pads change , so just wondered about brakes themselves

  • I'd guess that you have Ultegra levers.

    I was so impressed by my DA 7800 brakes that I put DA pads in another bikes Tiagra calipers. There was an improvement but nowhere near the stopping power of DA. I would say go for it, you'll also find the bike goes faster! All upgrades increase speed!
