Don't get any. Get some DHB lycra tights instead. Much more comfortable, no boil-in-the-bag action and nearly waterproof too. Go on, it makes sense, all the real men wear lycraFCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0

I am a very recent convert but this man speaks the truth. For comfort alone they kick ass out of the baggies I was wearing before and I have had them on in a 'horizontal downpour' and they never soaked through.

yip Max Wall is better than any plastic type ones. skin dries pretty quick too.
I've got a couple of chino type trousers with a not bad waterproof liner, they rustle a but but as they're not elasticated and are cut for hiking they don't amass sweat and you can hop off in town and blend into the crowd far better than lycra legs lets you do, and you've got pockets in them.

My commute is a little 3-4 miles in total, so ive been considering getting some waterproof trousers & jacket, don't think its enough to end up with 'boil in a bag syndrome'. Then again considering my poor level of fitness, maybe
Not to hicjack the thread, but maybe the forum could do without its 302nd 'What winter clothing' thread
Anyone have an opinion / experience with Endura Gridlock Trousers?
Also been looking at picking up either Endura Gridlock Jacket or Endura Laser II, the 2nd one seems to be more lightweight from looking at them.
Any thoughts or experience with them?Cycling Newbie

I wear winter bib tights and if it rains I carry over trousers in winter, it's not so bad getting wet in summer. The truth is I rarely need them.0
