Bike Cleaning

As we are at the time of year were we seem to clean our bikes more than we ride them, products like muc off become expensive.
Does anyone out there use products like Swarfega Heavy Duty Degreaser. (Obviously diluted (50:1)) As things like muc off are basically a degreaser I can't see a problem with using this. Any advice would be welcome.

Apparently Muc Off has nano Technology.
I'm a bit hazy on the details but I think it's basically really tiny machines that clean your bike for you - like one of those floor cleaner machines but much smaller. Then all you have to do is rince with water - genius!
This is why it costs so much, but it seems to work...Not really active0 -

You recon?
In the deep cold winter when it's dryer than our awful summer, the bike gets less muddy....
Ground gets hard, it's only when it warms up a bit that the ground gets muddy.Craig Rogers0 -
gav77: resist the temptation to clean your bike - water and 'specialist' cleaners will f**k it up quicker than any amount of winter mud. If you need to work on the bike, just clean the area you're working on. A bit of caked-on dirt on the outside of some painted tubes never did any harm. Just keep the drivetrain sterile with regular application of dry lube.0

Ferret - classic!
Re cleaning - I have been using Muc Off and other "products" for many years. My bike (2007 Stumpy plus others) is still in amazing condition despite having covered over 5000 miles.
Yes I'm on my 2nd drivetrain but that's expected. Hubs are still original (rebuilt once), BB is fine, and it all runs very smoothly.
If leaving a bike caked in mud is better than cleaning and lubing it, my name is Freda. That's just laziness talking.0
