To be announced on Saturday - is the presentation on TV at all?

Here's a rough idea of what to expect: http://www.steephill.tv/2010/giro-d-ita ... te-map.jpg

The presentation is due to be shown on RAI Tre at 1645-1810 local (1545-1710 UK). Hopefully it won't be geo-restricted.
  • The tour is supposed to be honouring the memory of Coppi in 2010. The Friday stage finish to Cesenatico is to acknowledge the 40th anniversary of the Nove Colli gran fondo that takes place that weekend, one of the country's biggest sportives, which is organised by the local cycle club GC Fausto Coppi.

Lovely lovely lovely. The stage from (to) Cesenatico will be tailor made for Cav so long as it is early enough in the race. Is it too early to pick him for this satge on PTP?

What's the stage that starts and finsihes in Cuneo gonna be like? Lumpy I presume? There's a good looking series of stages in the Dolomiti. Good times

Lance just announced that he will ride ToC instead of Giro.... that means we wont have any pathetic strikes or outbursts about rain at next years race.. Thank God!

Is he doing the Giro next year? With the Worlds being flattish, he might do the Tour and the Vuelta instead.

"The Giro is suited to me: the time trial, the mountain time trial, stages to Plans de Corones, Zoncolan, Gavia and Mortirolo," said 2008 Giro d'Italia winner Alberto Contador.

Looks like a great route to me.

The Zoncolan has Contador written all over it.
The 10.1-kilometre Zoncolan climb, along with a long, narrow tunnel, contains sections of 18 to 22 percent gradients, with an average of 11.9 percent.

  • Anyhow Giro fans. Gazetta now have Angelo Zomegnan presenting ALL the stages, in detail and in full screen mode, here:-

Cavendish is reported to have said "7 flat stages for sprinters so why not try winning them all"
Apparently he would like to be a star at the Giro.

Or Cuddly Bob may prefer to see him riding in front of the US market while the Giro is on....

That's if none of the mountains are closed off due to bad weather/snow/incompletion/etc...

I swear they throw so many in to make sure there are still some mountains left when they actually start.
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.
