Tyres

Sorry I know this has probably been asked before but i cant find it. I am looking for a rear tyre largest size 26 x 2.1 to allow decent mud clearance. It needs to be fairly fast rolling with good climbing grip as my climbing needs all the help it can get . I am not really bothered about how much cornering grip it has because i like to slide around a bit. Obviously the cheaper the better but more than usual as i am a student and money is limited. Any help people?

Maxxis Advantage? Not the lightest of tyres but they have great grip especially on loose, rubbly stuff without feeling draggy.0

I have used their Raptors for years - no regrets (and really cheap). You only get one shot .........so make it a double !

I love my Kenda SB8 (Small Block 8). Roll really quick but have loads of grip unless it's very muddy (when any fast tyre will struggle).Scott Genius 08, Marin Rock Springs 08, Marin Pine Mountain 890
