Hi, I seem to have settled on the attached light as the one I'm going to go for and wonder if I need a mount and, if so, which one / type.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael.

Doesn't look right to me... why is the name odfthe manafacturer blurred out on the image?

It looks like an absolute steal at £50 :o

It mounts using the rubber-rings. They loop over the "J" section on each side of the lamps concave base, under the bar, and over the opposing "J" section on the base.

If it's any good be sure to report back!

It's the same light as dealextreme sell - and yeah it mounts with the o-rings. I've got one and it's great.

If you google the light you will find many stories of it not being 900 lumens and owners having to modify it to get it to run correctly due to low quality...be aware that not everything on BOB and DX are genuine retail products from the manufacturer (hence cheap), a lot are copies.

It's not really 900 lumens, it's probably around 600 - but it's plenty bright enough unless you are racing dh courses at night or something.

Also I believe a lot of the issues with the first batch have been resolved now.

There's certainly nothing of similar performance unless you spend at least 3 times as much.

Slightly quicker, however these companies all get there products direct from the same factory and with more and more companies jumping on the bandwagon the manufacturer cannot cope with demand, therefore lead times for this light is around a month at the moment. However if you need it quickly, Geomangear have just - today- monday 25th oct- had a shipment of these lights and will post to you within 3-5 working days for £72 bit more than DX and best buy but this has: Power Cord Length: 45" (120cm) DX is 22"
High Mode@900 lumens > Mid Mode@500 lumens > Low Mode@200 lumens > Fast Blink > SOS Mode DX is 3 mode.
