These are decent budget wheels, not too heavy, simple to service bearings, decent number of spokes, easy to true if needed.

havent bought yet, am looking around at a new set mainly cuse the rear whelel i currently got is cracked. being a student i dont have a great budget, would i be better off replacing just the back or getting a whole new set?My Rides:

I have a set and they have done me proud over 3000 winter miles. Have not needed retruing. Easy hubs to service.
You'll need some rim tape though, as they are not supplied with any.- - - - - - - - - -

Hmm - just thinking about prices of these just over a year ago - Parkers, £ 25 for a R500 front, and £29 for an R500 Rear - great value at those prices - think they had the R550's at that time for £29 for a front and £ 39 for a rear - crazy prices.
Pity about the pound etc more recently - loved me budget Shimano stuff.0
