Talking left-turning truck

Heard this morning: a rubbish truck turning left announcing it was doing so with a posh female voice in the manner of a reversing truck,
`Caution, truck turning left. Caution, truck turning left'.
Interesting development, though seemingly dependant
on when the indicator was put on, in this case rather late during the MSM sequence (in this case Maneuver (overtake), Signal, Mirror).
Still, it might start to make people aware that there is this danger and there may be less filtering when the vehicle is stopped..

It's got to be better than nothing.

If your head is slightly ahead of the indicator yet you can't be seen by the driver then this would alert you to the fact.

Like 'Mind the Gap' I think this is a brilliant step in the right direction.
It shouldn't remove the liability of the driver should an accident occur however.Food Chain number = 4
