My Kona Cinder Cone 2008 and my girlfriends Specialised Myka Sport 2009 were stolen while we were staying at my house on Friday night/Saturday morning (the bikes were stored at my girlfriend's house). They were stolen from my girlfriends house near 5 rise locks in Bingley, Bradford.

They were secured with a Kryptonite Mini U-Lock, 2 Abus Extenda Coils wrapped through the frames and the wheels and then latched to an anchor point in the shed. I also had a cheaper U lock on there and a motorcycle helmet cable lock round the front wheels. The shed also had a hasp lock with a big padlock on. They got into the shed carefully moved all the purposely placed crap in front of the bikes to the garden, removed the tarp that covered the bikes and removed the anochor from the shed, then took the bikes all latched together. They must have had a van or car as there was no way of riding them with the locks on.

The Kona Cinder Cone is metallic electric blue, totally standard except for the electric blue Hope bar end plugs. Also has MBUK silver bullet tyre valve caps. It's has an 18" frame and has Evans Cycles stickers still on near the bottom bracket. I do have the frame number but not with me right now. Still has the Cateye mounting gear on for the computer. I still have the computer as it was kept in the house.

The Specialized Myka Sport 2009 is satin bronze with red highlights, it's a 17" frame and has a pinkish red bottle cage. Has a nasty scratch one of the chainstays and the clear cover for the gear indicator on the left hand side is missing. Also is adorned with Evans stickers. Again, we have the frame number but don't have it to hand at the mo.

If anyone knows anything about them, please could you contact PC Cath Gallimore at Bingley Police Station 01274 475331.

Thanks

  • I've got the frame numbers with me now, so please let me know or the police know if you see them around the Keighley/Bradford area. Much appreciated.

Kona Cinder Cone frame number: F810K0079

Specialized Myka Sport framer number: WUD808117298

I know these aren't the most expensive MTB bikes but I'd really like them back.
