Wipperman Connex Links: Discontinued?

For a while I have been keeping my eye out for Wipperman Connex links (for Shimano chains) coming back into stock, but it seems they never do. They're rarer than hen's teeth!

Having just checked the Wipperman website, the only connex links mentioned are for their own chains. Can anyone advise if they've stopped manufacturing for Shimano and Campag?

Thanks in advance.

  • Still available mate. Most LBS that stock the chains should have the links too.

I got a campag one from Wiggle about 10 days ago. It wasn't in stock when I ordered, took a few days to be despatched, so yes, I would assume they are still making them.
  • Hmmm - thanks for the replies. I've stocked up on Campag links, but the Shimano ones aren't available at the big name online shops (wiggle, ribble and crc). I'll try my LBS next time I'm there, which isn't too often  .

Redddragon - if I'm not in luck, maybe I'll try out the KMC offerings. I've never tried them before, mainly because the Wippermans seemed so good. I take it that you use and recommend them?

I've used them in the past. Currently using Wippermann chains at the moment though, but I have no real preference between Wippermann and KMC.
