  • I thought it was a good move by Shimanky, brave even. It was an unusual step to take for such a mover and shaker in the cycling world but one that should be applauded.
    Saxo Bank changed from Shimanky to Sram during the early part of the season. I know that Riis works on the loose idea of not having equipment sponsors per se, but prefers to choose the equipment for the team himself. But does anyone know why he moved from the Japanese boys to the Yanks when it came to gruppo suppliers? Was it a money thing or was it another reason? I genuinely don't know.
    Let's close our eyes and see what happens
