Does anyone ride one? What are your thoughts.

Looking at a bike around the 1k mark and these seem pretty good. I've been put off by Ribbles rep for bad service, I'm unsure on the Boardman wheels and Planet X never seem to have the right bike in stock (bit unsure on the wheels there too).

Is there a good place to look through all the bikes in a given price range? I need "what road bike" magazine. The listings on here miss out loads. ALso I'm undecided if going up to £1500 is actually worth it for someone who isn't going to race regularly, just do club rides and sportives with the very occasional race.

bump, these seem largely ignored by reviews, is this for a reason?

It's probably a decent bike (most of the EBC stuff is good) but the spec is a bit underwhelming when you compare it to the brands you've listed. Why have an alu frame with 105 when you can get a carbon one for the same money? I know there's nothing magic about carbon but the positive reviews of bikes like the PX and the Ribble speak for themselves. I have the Ribble Sportive btw and it is very nice.

Have you considered Focus btw? You might get a good price on an 09 model and you can deal with Wiggle who have a much better reputation for service than Ribble.

You really gotta watch out for over researching as well, there are plenty of happy endings for P-X and Ribble. You'll always find someone who's had a bad experience, Dave Hinde may be the exeption to this though
