Rock Shock Dart 3

Hiya,
I have an 08 Cinder Cone which I've only had for a couple of months and done about 150 miles on. I've notice there was a small puddle of oil under the front forks and on closer inspection it's dripping out of the rebound adjust screw at the bottom of the fork. I bought the bike from Halfords so will take it back to them under warranty but I'm concerned about them fixing it correctly.
Is it something I have done? I ride 50/50 on / off road but I don't think I've done anything that could damage them. I have given them a bit of a hard time on some downhill bits but have never reached full deflection.
Thanks
Keith

The oil could be coming from two places - around the foot nut (the bolt at the bottom of the leg) which is lube oil and usually means it needs tightening or a new crush washer installed, or though the hollw bolt i which case the damper is leaking.0

There is just the adjusting rebound knob on the right hand side and its leaking out of that. I've just had a look and the lockout is also not working I guess as it works by hydraulic lock and if there is not oil in the shock it stops working.0

The rebound knob pulls out - is the hex key part of it covered in oil?0

aha so it does and it looks like it's leaking out of the middle of the hex bolt where the adjuster pushes into rather than the outside.

Back to the shop then lol.0

Thanks for the quick replies at least I know a little bit what I'm talking about when I go into the shop.
