Which rear shock

Hi guys, looking for some advice. I wanna replace the rear shock on my 09 spec enduro expert. I've narrowed it down to the Fox RP2, RP23 or the DHX Air 5.0.
I ride anywhere from XC to DH, is it worth the extra for the DHX air or shall i go with an rp2/rp23? Thanks!

What issues are you trying to sort by replacing your existing shock? You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
Currently the rear shock doest feel very active and unless it's a big hit doesn't really work so not really seeing the benefit of rear suspension over small bumps so would like something more active.0

IIRC, that's actually a "design feature" of the enduros.0

Nice, so do you think changing the shock would solve this and if so which shock would do it best.
Does anyone know what Compression Tune / Rebound I would need on the rp23 too? thanks.0 -
you'd adjust the compression and rebound to suit your preferences, not anyone else's.0

I appreciate that but that shock comes with several options when you buy which are suited to the bike.0
-
buy it from TFTuned, and they'll set it up for your bike, weight, and style of riding.0

RP23 every time0

looks like a TF tuned push rp23 it is then, man their expensive!0

you don't have to get it PUSHed in order for them to set up the damping to your spec.
Not sure about the spring rate. I'm guessing they have to deflate it to post it? If you have a coil shock, they'll put the right spring weight on it for you as well.0 -
I'm pretty sure they can post them pressurized, as they charge them with nitrogen.0

I don't think they're nitrogen charged. Neither are DHXs.0
