9 speed chains

I'm wondering what chain to get when the current one needs replacing,.
I'm used to SRAM chains on the MTB and never had a problem but due to availability my current road bike has a Connex chain, I like the reuseable link better than the SRAM one but it seems to be much more finickity about gear setup (the rear derailleur has needed more fettling than with the previous chain to keep it shifting smoothly).
So, what are the pros and cons of different chains?
Oh, I've got a full Tiagra groupset, compact chainset and because I got used to riding before these fancy ramps and cutouts on the cassette I ride light when changing gear.

I've always used Dura Ace 9 Speed chain after realising that using other makes of chain with an essentially Tiagra drive train was causing it shit crap. You can generally pick these chains up for about £20 and use a KMC link.0

Ta, food for thought0

KMC are generally competent, reliable etc - the missing link is easy to use, particularly if you use these:

Makes the job dead easy - literally 5 secs - put them around the rollers and squeeze - quick and easy.0 -
