Frame sizing (again...!)

Is an option to buy a frame a size too big then have a shorter stem/lowered seat height to get a longer head-tube & hence a slightly more upright position on a 'race-oriented' frame (Boardman, Focus, Cube) etc?

If you shorten the stem too much, you'll end up with skittish handling - why not just buy a sportive type bike with more upright riding psoition in the correct size?
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Not a good idea to get a size too big, unless you are lucky it will never be right.
If anything a size too small would be a better choice, but getting the correct size is best :D
