Euro Millions - Help Me Spend My Winnings!

OK, I can feel it in my blood that I'm going to win tonight (£40 million, even though I don't have a ticket!) so my plans so far are pretty much the usual:-

Buy big country mansion with stables and add indoor and outdoor menage for daughters horses, cross country course and a couple of fishing lakes
Holiday home by the sea
Charity donations
Clear family's mortgages / buy younger sisters houses
Aston DBS plus an Aston convertable for the Mrs.
Top of the range Range Rover
Invest in Pontypool RFC to make them the greatest club side in Britain (again)
Horses for me, wife and youngest
Decent sized boat (nothing too ostentatious)

I need some help now though, I'll have a lovely big outbuilding spare at my new house that needs filling with bikes but need your help. So, money no object, what should I get? I'll be needing a road bike, time trial bike, cross bike and may as well get a tourer, hardtail and full suspension MTB. I'm guessing I should go for hand built custom frames for the various road bikes but who shall I get to make them? What groups, wheelsets and other components? I will also by Lance's butterfly art bike that I think he is auctioning for Livestrong.

It's going to be so stressful deciding how to spend all this cash so please help

If, on the off chance, I don't win and one of you do what will you spend my... sorry, your, money on?

For bikes, i'd have a fleet of them but one (of the many road bikes) would definitely be a custom Parlee with Zipp 303's, Sram Red groupset, Arione CX seat, Ritchey carbon WCS finishing kit and Speedplay pedals.

Too ambitious, I don't think £40million will be enough. I'll bring my son's under 10s team over for a game - should be quite competitive

think of all the Rapha gear you could buy......actually, on second thoughts, you wouldn't get a lot for £40m.....

No, we'll be too busy pummelling the regions to embarass the WRU on their ridiculous move away from club rugby. I'll leave your lot to their regular pastings off the Tigers

This is the sort of thing I need, pointless you lot talking about country pads etc. as the money is mine

Think I'm going to go for Javelin Cortina with Camapg Super Record. Will have to do a bit more research into wheels and finishing kit. Will go the custom Ti frame route for my tourer and winter bike.

I'll have an Orbea please, and a small sailing boat, and a kayak and a sailboard and windsurfing lessons.

After that, a house in Canterbury, and small holiday homes in France and Hungary.

I'll make sure my family's OK for money, do the same for my girlfriend's family.

I'll keep a couple of million for me and girlfriend so we never need to work again. Apart from that, I can't really think what else I'd want. Not much point in me having 40 million, so I'll give the rest to charity.

I'll get the chequebook out!
  • Of course you're buying Lances butterfly bike to pulp it into a tiny cube of mixed material, small enough to flick off the edge of the toilet seat, prior to flushing?

Just think of all those women who suddenly for no reason will find you as a multi-millionaire so very attractive.

No, I was going to stick it on my daughter's bedroom wall as she loves butterflies, shame he didn't do a rabbit one as well :D

Not more women, I have to beat them off with a stick to keep the wife happy now and I haven't got two pennies to rub together

YOu have all that money and still put Ritchey and Zipps on a Parlee? Only Edge would be acceptable

A cool 40 million would be put to good use. Firstly I would state publically that the money won't change me, then.,..

A Cornish retreat... Overlooking the sea on the Lizard peninsula.
    Recording studio at said retreat.
A Gibson ES 355 in Cherry Red.
Charvel Surfcasters in all colours( 90's guitars..rare/nice)
    A Ferrari 599
    Porsche 993 Turbo
Range Rover to go shops in.
Set up a pro cycling team so that I can feel "involved" in summat.
    Enigma Elite with Super Rec.
    Caterham R500 for trackdays
    Ducati 916
    Honda RC30
    Honda NR750
A South of France swanky pad.
Make the British Heart Foundation very happy.
Get trained up then buy a working jet...Hawker Hunter or Provost.

.....how easy would it be to spend? Quite easy methinks.

I didn't win so I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket now. Hopefully it's a roll over as £40 million would be a bit light to scrape by on

  • The money's mine pal, and it's going on

Huge country pile in the Lakes
    A dandyish hat
A zoo for the back garden
    some new bikes
buying myself onto the board of Warrington Wolves RLFC

    The rest i'll just waste.

Great minds think alike - for me also:

Huge country pile in the Lakes(preferably around Keswick area)
    Some new bikes
    A posh motorhome
Buying myself onto the board of Warrington Wolves RLFC (though not sure SJM would be happy if we became the powers behind the throne)

Not sure I can achieve much of this as I only won a tenner on Saturdays Lotto :)

I already live in the lakes so maybe i'm just being greedy... I don't have a pile though!

Maybe if we put our tenners together we can get a go at being Wolfie or summat instead?
