I want a fixie for winter training both on and off the turbo.
Like the look of the Paddy and theres less of them than a Langster, but it looks a bit showy ?
Are they any good ?
What do you reckon ........

they have just reviewed the Langster on here. They like it. I have just bought one second hand.
I have no knowledge of what Paddy Wagons are like0 -
I was looking for a SS last year (I decided to convert an old MTB to SS instead), and the school of thought at that time was the Paddy Wagon was too heavy due to it's frame compaired to the Langster. Most seemed to recommend the Pompino, but on-one always seemed to be out of stock
I have the sneaking suspicion that the Pompino and Paddy were very similar weighted.CAAD9

I tried a single speed on the turbo and even with adjustable resistance found it less than ideal. I suppose if you just want to sit on the turbo and churn away then its fine, but for structured training then gears are definitely better.More problems but still living....0

I've got the 2008 langster and have to say its great for commuting and winter rides,
I find it quiet light but haven't ridden any others to compare it to
this year I'll try get some mudguards for it wonder if Mr Cruds new ones will fit?Getting there0 -
I have got a Boardman SC which has a flip flop hub. I like it, seems quite "racy" to me although I would not claim to be an expert. It costs £499 and I would highly recommend it. Using it as a freewheel at the moment, build up my confidence and I might try fixing it.
Sometimes there is just too much choice out there!!0
