Which Powertap?

Still considering buying a Powertap and having it built into a wheel. Can't for the life of me see what i'm paying so much extra money for when comparing the SL+ against the Pro+. The SL+ is about 40g lighter thanks to the Carbon 'windows' in the hub shell and has a (stronger?) 15mm axle over the 12mm on the Pro+. Apart from that, I'm stumped as to why there is a difference of £200-250 depending on where you shop? At 77kg do I need the benefit of a bigger axle, because I know I won't feel the 40g difference. but I'll certainly feel the price difference!

Any clues? I'd be using it for training along with a Garmin 705 as the head unit and am considering a 28h hub built into Mavic Open Pros.

From reading your thread, I would say that you know what you want to do, just want someone to qualify your thoughts...
Why not email Rob Tobin at www.cyclepowermeters.com for detailed info/advice?
I have SL wired, 'cos I couldn't see what difference wireless would make, to me, the wire can't be that heavy!

Not a bad idea that, although I'm always a bit retiscent asking someone who's job it is to sell why I shouldn't buy the expensive one!

True, but Rob is a very fair guy.
I'm sure I'm not the only person on this forum who'd recommend his advice.
