Which brake blocks and holders?

I want to move over to holders for my brakes as the range of replacements seems to be wider and cheaper in the long run.
Question is which? (I'm really not up on my road product knowledge)
I have been looking at the Kool stop dura http://spacycles.co.uk/products.php?pli ... p824&z=810
However being skint I only wanted to spend about a tenner if possible.
Alternatives are superstars offering http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... ucts_id=99
or if i feel bingy http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... ucts_id=90
or the last alternative is an older clarks set from my LBS at clearance price, and stick some decent inserts in there when they die.

Go for the Kool Stops - you won't regret it. 8)
The Kool Stop kit* comes with a spare set of pads as well and the holders are very well made. The Kool Stop pads are excellent!
*(ie. each kit has: 2 x holders and 4 x pads)Cycling weakly0 -
might be worth adding that this bike is used for commuting and training mostly so it will see a lot of use in foul conditions.
The spare pads in the kool stop kit make it a very tempting buy, just being tight atm so seeing what the other potions are.Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)

All the more reason to choose the Kool Stops - they have excellent wet weather braking.
I assume, even while commuting/training you'd still prefer to stop before you hit something, rather than because you hit something?Cycling weakly0
