Hi,

I have recently made the move to SPD pedals on my road bike, but would now like to fit some to my mountain bike.

I have 'Wellgo' SPD's on the road bike but would like to fit some Shimano pedals on the mountain bike.

Will the cleats from the 'Wellgo's' fit Shimano pedals. I dont wanna have to use 2 different shoes?

Cheers

    I havent used wellgos myself but I believe a lot of people use shimano multi release cleats with wellgo pedals. The Shimano pedals will come with Shimano cleats so you can just swap the wellgo cleats for the shimano ones.

    WARNING try unclipping on a soft piece of ground first just in case I am talking internet ballcocks :)

    SPD is a standard and any SPD compatible cleats will work.

    Road bikes tend to have SPD SL (shimanos road version) which is totally different to SPD and are not compatible.

    SPD = Shimano Pedalling Dynamics.
