Okay, so I open bikeradar, and whats the first thing I see....

http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/exclusive-limited-edition-boardman-bikes-23602

So how much do I want to sell my Pro now and get one of them :o Doh !

I know what'll be first on my shopping list for next years cycle2work scheme as well, one of those Hybrids :D

Truth be told, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in spec, but me being me (and I'm sure I can't be alone here??) wants one because its new and "limited"

Roll on December !

Shame it's not carbon then it would be really interesting....but as it stands, I'm happy with the one I've got! Especially since Halfords kindly swapped mine out for one of this years builds with all 2010 components on it!

Wonder how long it will be before they release a carbon framed MTB though?!

I must confess, with the green on the MTB and it having pretty much identical spec from what I can see, I'm thinking I'll keep my current one with all its carbon bits and just try and get one of the Hybrids, liking the look of them :)

It's actually what they should have done to the range this year and actually called it the '2010 range', instead of making no changes at all and keeping it as 2009. Would make them seem better value to potential new buyers.

and why green? I suspect it's the colour sram kit that nobody else is buying...
It would look far better on a Sterling Moss.

Nice paint jobs but that hybrid is a backwards step on the brakes imo - normal versions have disc brakes as standard and they've put V brakes on it. I'll stick with my Pro Ltd ta very much 8)

Who said they needed them? I just prefer them.

That said, there may be the one time on a wet day commuting in London when the difference between disc and v-brakes is the difference between stopping in time and hitting the car that's just done an emergency stop in front of you. It hasn't happened to me yet but 'll take the disc brakes just in case, thanks :)

Also less need to replace rims, not a disadvantage....

I would prefer the bb7s though with extra spent on something else. That goes throughout the hybrid range.

But i do agree on the wet and sliminess

But heavier, more to go wrong etc etc. and how often do you have to replace rims because the brakes have worn them out ... in the real world there is very little difference between decent rim brakes and discs on the road... A decent set of cantilevers is perfectly fine!

Nope, but would be interesting if they do 8) Might be the 2011 model range before we see it? That said, they are expanding the range and have just brought out a CX bike as well.

    Glad I got the non-Ltd pro - that's rank... :(

Like the white rebas on it however. Meh, I've yet to see another HT Pro flying around Edinburgh anyway, so it feels like I'm on a ltd bike at the mo anyhooo.

Love my bike, about to get the whole carbon bars, seatpost etc treatment...Wiggle here I come methinks.

Just think the green...was not the way to go lol

    2013 - Cannondale F29 1 '13
    2017 - Haibike Freed 7.5 carbon HT + full Hope parts (no..not an e-bike)

For Halfords Carbon, see the Carrera Titan - astonishing value.

Check my sig - you've got very good taste in bikes 8)

You won't be diappointed with the Pro Ltd - I use mine for commuting 25miles round trip a couple of times a week and it has been good n reliable so far.

    Steve.

Lack of future upgrade-itis is the best point that the Pro Ltd has over the ordinary Pro

  • There is one vital peice of change to the Pro and tht is the addition if you look of the Carbon X-O as apposed to the normal X-O rear mech !!!! Was going to buy one and change all the wcs stuff the the wet white versions to look nicer

Well as I said when I first created the post, I was tempted purely by the fact that it was "limited edition"....but having looked at it again a few times, I'm not changing bike to basically just have a bit of green on the frame

Admittedly if it had been a better colour etc, then I may have been tempted just to have a piece of history
