Cheap and fun..

Just found out that my work does actually have *fairly* secure bike locking area thingy!
I would ride the Surge to work and have a play on the way but its a bit too special for that!
Theres loads of street style stuff to play about on on the way to work... I even mapped a route
So...
I was thinking something like the specialized p1? Cheap/light/fun?
Bare in mind I'm a big lad so a 24" or small frame wouldn't do too well!!

alrite ben! i was talking to the saracen bikes director last week at earls court and by the looks of them the saracen amplitude cr2 might be right for you its fairly cheap, built tough and looks fun aswell, if his words are anything to go by, i'd look at them, http://www.saracen.co.uk/bikes/amplitude/amplitude-cr20

How cheap are you looking?
24seven substance is £550 at Leasure Lakes:

What about getting something 2nd hand?0 -
Don't know how many times I've posted in different threads, but here it goes, once again:
Giant STP 1 2009
£540 and the largest size is 15".0 -

Those Saracens are a bloody rip off!
Like the look of that 24/7 though... I expect it to be fairly small though, but not as smalll as a bmx?
I did have a GT Chucker (now donated to the lil bro) which was a 15" frame, probably a bit bigger than the 24/7.
Ideally need a TT length of around 560-570mm..0 -
I've always liked the little finishing details on the 24seven bikes. Plus, the frames are supposed to be excellent.
The size is something that's always bothered me too though, never actually been able to get my hands on one to try or I may well have had one myself.
Are you wanting gears?0 -
Hey, here's a thought.
Why dont you get another NS frame, or just buy one of the lower core models.
Or one of the DMRs, they seem popular round here.0 -
Wouldn't exactly call £550 cheap!
But anyway my mate has a specialized p1 and he really rates it, I have had a bash on it and it's a great bike for mucking around on.0 -

I'm biased but I've got to agree an STP of some desctiption would be a great choice.
Cheap, fun, tough and the large has a 585mm top tube so with the seat up is easy to pedal.Less internal organs, same supertwisted great taste.0
