...Shimano RS80 (Carbon Laminate) and Dura Ace 7850CL (Carbon Laminate)? Apart form a couple of hundred quid on the price.

    The hubs?

Am mulling this choice over too.

hubs are different - DA are lighter obviously as they are more machined and have a ti freehub, and spokes are different colours, I think. Rims look very similar and are identical AFAIK but stickers are different obviously.

I've got a pair of RS80s. Rims are the same carbon laminate ones (370g claimed or something?) but the hubs are ultegra rather than dura-ace. Not sure whether the spokes are different or just lacking paint, but I think the weight difference is all at the hubs. The wheels feel fast and spin up to speed well. There's a bit of flex when you're really going for it, but I haven't ridden enough comparable price wheels to compare stiffness. Had an issue where the counterweight in the front wheel came loose, but Madison just gave me a new wheel without any hassle at all (rep had a quick look at the wheel, got me a returns number, and put a new wheel in the post which came the next day...).

    All in all, happy!
