It arrived in the biggest box Ive ever seen! Well packed and almost fully assembled. All I needed to do was straighten the bars from their transit postion. Nip up the 7 stem bolts and fit the saddle and seat pin.

I fitted my pedals and off I went. Everything was well set up, even the little things like the lining up of the lettering on the tyres with the valves and lettering on the bar end plugs were all sorted.

Ive had bikes from my LBS before with little assembly marks here and there. The Ribble has no evidence of any such carelessness.

Ive done 180 miles on it and it performs beautifully. Gears, brakes and everything else were well set up. If anyone is at all dubious or considering one of these then Go for it, you wont be disappointed.

It is the case that Ribble are sometimes hard to get hold of, Ive spoken to them on the phone but its generally engaged. They have always answered my emails though. I even got one today to advise me they had slightly overcharged me for my build spec and had refunded my account.

Anyway, heres a pic, not brilliant due to low angle of sun

That'll be the 2 on the back, the 1 on the top and the 4 on the front.
  • Ummm...

So it looks like they buliding Sportive Racings again.

I ordered mine at the end of August and am still waiting. I've been unable to contact them (phone constantly engaged, e-mails ignored or deleted without being read) so I don't know what's happening.

A correspondent on another forum (Can anyone recommend Ribble Cycles etc) said that they only had size 58 frames in stock and other sizes weren't due until mid-November. Is your's a 58 cm? I want a 49 cm. Do they contact you to tell you it's being delivered? I've had no contact since the order confimation e-mail.
