Currently riding an 05 cindercone and upgrading most of components. How much of a difference is there between a mid and high rise Easton Ea70 monkey bar. Mostly ride at Glentress as 11 miles away but as usual no shops nearby with stock of these. Any user reviews most welcome.

It is not something you can poll really, as depends on your spacers, stem height, preferences etc. Look at its spec - do you want higher, lower, or the same as what you have already? Is the width and sweep ok?0

Thanks Supersonic basically I find what I currently have is fine and don't want to end up with a cruiser style set up! Just not sure how Easton shape will compare to cheap Kona OE bar ie how to measure rise, angle etc without getting too technical!Giant Anthem X3 20130

Why not keep what you have then, why upgrade?!0

My bike is now 4 yrs old and having poured over many posts both on MTB and Road the main conclusion is that manufacturers skimp on finishing kit to keep costs down. It's a Kona Cindercone so I figured changing what I had ie bars, stem and seatpost might just make it a better bike. I've already got a pair of RS Rebas to fit so I thought I would try and upgrade some of the rest of teh cheaper componentry so that I could enjoy riding it.Giant Anthem X3 20130

Yes, that can be true. I would weigh them though so you can compare to what you want to buy.0

What I meant was i found the current position fine and would like to replicate that with better components. Perhaps I didn't explain that very well!!! I thought a poll would let others recommend one position over another from their personal experience as I accept the choice will be a personal oneGiant Anthem X3 20130

Noted. I intend to weigh when stripped for fork replacement. Was just looking for informed opinions first and compare, thanksGiant Anthem X3 20130

Basically I just don't want you to splash out 40 quid and get a bar that is actually heavier, as would have dowgraded lol.
Do you have any headset spacers? You can swap them about and experiment with height changes, or even flip the stem over in some cases to lower the bars.0
