For no particularly good reason other than the apparently good deals on offer, I am considering these:
Descente Prologue

Adidas EP

Anyone tried either of them?

I'm also interested in how sizing comes up for these brands. I have some Lusso shorts in XL which fit fine but often find I need jerseys in XXL.

Cheers
Ian

Have a pair of the adidas shorts. VERY comfy, more comfy than the assos uno shorts I also have.. Was very happy until some sections of the inside of the insert came loose after about 18 months. I have to say though that if they had my size for that money I would have another pair!
It’s the most beautiful sport in the world but it’s governed by ***ts who have turned it into a crock of ****.

I have some Descente Chevron bibs which look very similar to the pologues (same chamois etc). They've been great - on their 3rd season and still going well. Comfortable all day, and a good fit on me anyway. Quality is up with anything else if you ask me.

I'm very happy with my Descente bib tights - can't remember which model they were, but very nice.

However, I found the front of the pad on my Adidas tights far too low - it was a bit obscene when off the bike, and I haven't bought or worn any since.

    YMMV of course!
Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...
  • I have some Addidas bib tights and I agree with the above coment re : the pad position. It is rather low and you do end up with your bits on show. The tights are lovely and comfy though I would definately not get any more unless the pad was different
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!
I RIDE A KONA CADABRA -would you like to come and have a play with my magic link?

I got these because they were the cheapest - nothing to compare them to but they're absolutely fine and do the job. Can't see why you'd need to spend any more than this.

Actually I just found this place in the USA. Postage to the UK is about 7 quid, so £25 for the Descente all in!

    Anyone heard of JensenUSA?

Why can't I be XS or XXL? :(
