Comfortable Brake Levers

I have bought a Boardman SC bike, which is the singlespeed version of the Boardman Team road bike. I am very pleased with it and the ride, my only problem is comfortable braking. I have a Focus Cayo 105 which I find braking on the hoods and drops much easier. I am a big guy so it is not a small hand issue.The Boardman has Tektro brakes. I see there have been a few threads about reaching the brake levers but is there a more comfortable or alternative brake lever that anyone recommends.
