Commuter road bike advice

Hi,
I've been looking for a road bike to do a 14 mile each way journey about three times a week. I'm not getting into road racing and I'm going to need it for 4 months max so not looking to spend a lot, just to get from a-b.
I found these two on ebay:
Maruishi,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MARUISHI-Mens-Roa ... 286.c0.m14
and
Cross Peloton,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cross-Peloton-59c ... 286.c0.m14
The Maruishi is cheaper (usually sells fro £140-£160) but the Cross Peloton (at £199) seems to have a better spec and it comes with cork handles which would be more comfortable than just black tape for 28 mile a day total routes.
Not the manufacturers or prices most people on this site are interested in themselves but advice on whether the Cross Peloton is that much of a better buy or whether its best to buy the Maruishi and get cork tape, possibly new seat etc would be appreciated.[/url]
